The Falkland Apartments' Cupola Building is located at the corner of 16th Street and Colesville Road, a primary entrance to downtown Silver Spring. The apartments were built in 1936-38 and were one of the first three projects insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), serving as a model for later projects.
