PENNYWORTH THRIFT SHOP GETS DONATED 'TREASURE

PENNYWORTH THRIFT SHOP GETS DONATED 'TREASURE' (Looking for donor!)

Donation to Silver Spring Pennyworth Thrift Shop is a Treasure!!!... Maybe not as valuable as the Picasso painting  that was recently put to auction for $14,000  after purchase for $14 at a another thrift shop but Silver Spring Regional Director Reemberto Rodriguez was recently overjoyed with the donation of three 10 year old framed newspaper articles about the redevelopment of our beautiful downtown of Silver Spring, Maryland. The three pictures were donated the week of Sept 12, to the Pennyworth Shop at 949 Bonifant Street in downtown Silver Spring. Pennyworth Shop Manager, Marilyn Seitz who was active in the Silver Spring Citizen's Advisory Board when the plans were only on paper, knew that these framed articles were treasures. We would love to thank the person who donated these pictures.  if you know who donated them, please contact the Thrift Shop...

Pennyworth Shop has been an important part of the Silver Spring community for 60 years.  The shop is a ministry of Grace Episcopal Church on Georgia Ave, Silver Spring.  Grace Church has a very active multicultural community since 1860's.  "We get all kinds of donations, but this one was something special to Silver Spring" said Pennyworth shop manager, Marilyn Seitz.
