Applications Now Open for Montgomery County’s AMBER Business Accelerator Program

Small businesses across Montgomery County now have an opportunity to access coaching, technical support, and business development resources through the AMBER Business Accelerator Program, a 14-week initiative designed to help underserved businesses grow and become procurement-ready.

Led by the Montgomery County Black Collective, the AMBER program provides participating businesses with individualized coaching, peer learning opportunities, and access to subject matter experts focused on long-term business sustainability and operational growth.

The program is open to small, minority-owned, and underserved for-profit businesses located in Montgomery County that are in good standing with the State of Maryland.

Preference will be given to businesses that have been operating for at least two years. Participants will receive:

  • Weekly one-on-one coaching sessions
  • Financial management and capital readiness support
  • Marketing and operations assessments
  • Networking opportunities with business leaders and policymakers

The 2026 fall cohort will run from August 17 through November 30, 2026

Who Should Apply:
Small, minority, and underserved for-profit businesses based in Montgomery County that are in good standing, with preference for those operating for at least two years.
