Montgomery County Recreation and the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) invite residents ages 55 and older to join a special celebration of Older Americans Month on Friday, May 29, from 9:30 to 11:30am. At the Long Branch Community Recreation Center in Silver Spring.

This year’s theme, Champion Your Health, highlights the importance of staying active, engaged and connected through wellness, recreation and community participation. The free event will bring older adults together for a morning of fun, fitness and valuable resources.

Attendees can enjoy fitness demonstrations, live music and vendor tables featuring information and services designed to support healthy aging and community well-being. The celebration is hosted by Montgomery County DHHS Aging and Disability Services in collaboration with Montgomery County Recreation.
