This week, Silver Spring celebrated the grand opening of a unique Outback Steakhouse in downtown Silver Spring! It's not just any Outback; it's a heartfelt local addition. Did you know one of the founders attended Montgomery Blair High School and the University of Maryland, and the management team grew up right here? We had the chance to go behind the scenes and see the Maryland-specific vibe they've crafted. They were thrilled to bring their Maryland-decor-inspired dining experience to the community, with every detail reflecting the Maryland Flag pride and a focus on the local art scene that Marylanders are known for.

Carson Henry, Chief of Operations for the Silver Spring Urban District, had the honor of presenting the local Outback team with an official Montgomery County certificate. Along with Councilmember Kate Stewart, and thanks to the Great Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce for organizing a welcoming and warm event for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. As for Nahom Tekle, he got to take his FIRST BITE (watch here) of the iconic Bloomin’ Onion, a true Outback Steakhouse classic that never disappoints! Don't forget to add this special Maryland-centered Outback Steakhouse to your list. They also have a great patio where you can enjoy the beautiful spring weather right here in Silver Spring.
