SHARE YOUR INPUT: NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE FLASH BRT OPEN HOUSE – MAY 14

Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is inviting the community to an in-person open house to discuss the future of transit along New Hampshire Avenue. This event is part of the ongoing planning study for the proposed Flash Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor, which would run from Fort Totten Metro Station to Colesville, offering faster, more reliable service with potential dedicated bus lanes and enhanced transit features.

📅 Tuesday, May 14
🕕 6–8 PM (Presentation at 7 PM)
📍 Langley Park Community Center
1500 Merrimac Drive, Hyattsville, MD 20783

Attendees will have the chance to:

  • View maps and study materials
  • Learn about possible route and station options
  • Explore improvement alternatives including bus priority lanes and pedestrian/bike safety enhancements
  • Speak directly with the project team and share feedback

The New Hampshire Avenue corridor connects key areas like Takoma Park, Langley Park, White Oak, and the FDA Campus, and this project aims to expand access to jobs, schools, healthcare, and more.
