Founded in 1976, the Arts and Humanities Council is a non profit organization designated as Montgomery County's local arts agency. The AHCMC disburses grants and contributions to nonprofit organizations, artists and scholars to help fund cultural activities in the County. AHCMC funding is provided by Montgomery County Government, the Maryland State Arts Council, corporations, organizations and individuals.
