Silver Spring, MD – April 23, 2025 – Action Youth Media (AYM) is thrilled to announce the 2025
Montgomery County Youth Media Festival, showcasing the creativity and talent of young artists from
across the Maryland, DC and Virginia region. The festival promises to be a celebration of youth voices in
the visual arts, featuring a diverse range of films created by emerging talents. Scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 10th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, the festival will offer an array of screenings and networking opportunities for film enthusiasts and the community at large. With a focus on empowering and amplifying the voices of young creators, the festival aims to foster dialogue around social issues, inspire creativity, and promote the art of storytelling through film.
AYM program participants and youth around the area were invited to submit their work across media categories such as Photography, Graphic Design and Film Short for the chance to win a $500 prize. Community members between the ages of 12 and 25 are also encouraged to volunteer for this event. Montgomery County Public Schools teen volunteers are eligible for SSL hours. Whether you're a filmmaker showcasing your work or an audience member eager to discover emerging talents, there's something for everyone at the Montgomery County Youth Media Festival. For more
