In this stoner comedy for the Letterboxd era, Estonian filmmaker Meel Paliale mines Gen Z ennui to craft a fresh, authentic portrait of a generation left adrift by the modern age. Aimless 20-something Sebastian (Mihkel Kuusk) works a dead-end job at a convenience store, but his mindless, quotidian existence gets turned upside down when he meets wild card Silo (Karl Birnbaum). After Silo convinces Sebastian to skip out on work and enjoy the final days of summer, the two fast friends get high, skinny dip and dream of escaping to Brazil. As day turns to night, they stop by a party where Sebastian meets dreamy cinephile Nora (Maria Helena Seppik). An instant spark turns into a steady romance, but young love is not immune to the harsh realities of adulthood. Paliale brings style, humor and a killer soundtrack to a film that pulses with energy and emotional depth.
