Spanning the late 1930s through 1950, our program highlights a remarkable era in American symphonic music, rich in lyricism, color, and expressive power.
Violin soloist Er-Gene Kahng joins us in performing Price’s stunning Violin Concerto No. 1, alongside Copland’s vibrant Outdoor Overture, Walker’s deeply moving Lyric for Strings, and Piston’s dynamic Symphony No. 4.
