Join the Chesapeake Climate Action Network on Wednesday, January 7 at 7 PM for a screening of the film adaption of Mike Tidwell’s book The Lost Trees of Willow Avenue, by filmmakers Richard Hall and Simone Fari. The event will be held at the newly renovated Takoma Park Maryland Library in the Program room for a film viewing, discussion about Mike’s book, and book signing.

The Lost Trees of Willow Avenue: A Story of Climate and Hope on One American Street, explores the growing impacts of climate change on his one urban block in Takoma Park, Maryland. A love letter to the magnificent oaks and other trees dying from record heat waves and bizarre rain, Tidwell’s story depicts the neighborhood’s battle to save the trees and combat climate change.
