2026 marks 250 years since the founding of the United States. The American Dream has been a core cultural theme throughout our history, a global phenomenon that has brought thousands of people here in search of a better life for themselves and their families. This show examines the role of that dream in musicals and popular music and lays bare the gaps between dreams and reality. But there is always hope for the future, as long as we “keep marching!”
