This is the 12th year of the Community Stories Film Festival presented by Docs In Progress. The festival focuses on local documentaries made by local filmmakers from MD, DC, and Northern Virginia.
Our 2022 edition will be held virtually with live Q&As on March 11-13. You can start watching all films for free on Tuesday, March 8!
Tom Diaz recounts how his immigrant father, Gregory Diaz, overcame the racial prejudice he encountered as a serving military officer after returning from the Second World War, decorated with a Bronze Star, the Army's third highest award. Gregory's American dream lives on in the diverse family he founded.
