The Lumina Ensemble Presents… I HATE HAMLET by Paul Rudnick.

When hotshot TV actor Andrew Rally lands the role of Hamlet at New York’s famous Shakespeare in the Park, he panics. Shakespeare? In front of a live audience?! He’d rather stick to sitcom fame. But when he moves into an apartment once owned by the legendary actor John Barrymore, he gets an unexpected roommate—the swashbuckling ghost of Barrymore himself. Barrymore has everything Andrew fears he lacks: passion, ego, and fearless theatricality. And what’s more… he is supposed to have been the greatest Hamlet of all time.

As Andrew juggles his starry-eyed girlfriend, psychic realtor, a cutthroat agent, and the lure of easy television money, Barrymore pushes him toward artistic greatness—with plenty of swagger and swordplay along the way.

I Hate Hamlet is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy about fear, fame, love, and finding the courage to take center stage.
