Join us for an exciting night of wine, food, and high-energy Brazilian jazz and drumming at the Urban Winery of Silver Spring! To recognize October’s Domestic Violence Awareness month, we bring a special performance as part of the evening’s benefit for the The Personal Care Foundation! Dance outside on the patio at 8 pm (between the band’s sets) to the vital drums of Batalá! Batalá Washington is an all-women Afro-Brazilian band that plays Samba-Reggae rhythms and a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission of empowering women.Please bring full-size hygiene products that night to be collected by The Personal Care Foundation (PCF), a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Montgomery County, MD that supports survivors of domestic violence. Each PCF Care Package includes full-sized shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, disinfecting wipes, and menstrual products. These items promote physical health and help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity. Your contribution is crucial to PCF's mission, and we look forward to seeing you there!
