Special Event: “Tap Into History: A Century of Typewriters” - So why are the keys on my computer keyboard arranged like that? For the answer, check out this traveling pop-up exhibit. You will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to type on a 1913 Royal Standard No.5 or maybe you prefer a 1970’s Safari portable typewriter. Stop by and see for yourself. Ding! Plus “Train Spot” under the canopy, see locomotives galore, and wave at the Engineers. Indoors, enjoy HO Scale Model Train Display, play with wooden toy train set, ride Thomas the Tank Engine, visit Station Manager’s ticket office and 1945 telephone booth, and see B&O “Drumhead,” rail photos, & memorabilia of the original Downtown Silver Spring.
