Details
Soloist, Karen Walwyn, a Florence Price scholar and recipient of the the International Steinway Artist Award, plays Florence Price's delightful concert. She played the world premiere of Price’s concerto in 2011. Joshua Barone of the New York Times, described her performance as “warmly expressive” and “an infectious pleasure”.
She is on the faculty of Berklee College of Music and is in constant demand for her performances of Frédéric Chopin to Florence Price.
