Here’s a chance to learn more about the famous jazz cornetist Joe ”King” Oliver and his band, “King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band". Join us for a fascinating talk about “King” Oliver of the ‘20s. King Oliver and his Creole Jazz Band recordings became a musical blueprint for future jazz musicians including Louis Armstrong.
This PRJC Talk, another in a long-running series of jazz discussions is free, but PRJC does encourage donations to help underwrite this education series. Donations can be made on the Eventbrite link below.
