We invite you to indulge in a delicious afternoon back in time! Take a flavorful journey to the Roaring ’20s and sample cocktails that were once strictly forbidden during Prohibition. Enjoy classics such as the Bee’s Knees, Gin Rickey and more, accompanied by lively demonstrations and fascinating stories from cocktail historian Matt Keller. Mocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

Complete the experience with a tempting selection of gourmet hors d’oeuvres inspired by the speakeasies of the 1920s—reimagined with a delicious international and modern twist. The menu from RSVP Catering features a wide selection including a number of vegetarian and gluten-free options.

These Prohibition era cocktails take center stage featuring mixing demos with the stories behind them presented by cocktail historian, writer & mixologist Matt Keller with District Cocktail.

Bee's Knees (gin, lemon, honey)
Mary Pickford (light rum, pineapple juice, grenadine)
Gin Rickey - The Official Cocktail of DC (Gin, lime, club soda)
Bizzy Izzy (Rye whiskey, sherry, pineapple juice, lemon juice, sugar, club soda) - This was created by Tom Bullock who in 1917 became the first African-American to publish a cocktail book The Ideal Bartender. His recipes became standard staples in underground speakeasies and jazz clubs.

A selection of non-alcoholic beverages will also be served.
