Ever wanted to give stand up a shot? Join us for a stand up comedy class focused on joke writing and sharing in a supportive, learning environment.
This class is perfect for you if you:
• Have some jokes that need a little work
• Want to craft a tight-five in a supportive environment
• Are curious if you have got what it takes to be funny on stage
During this 90 minute class which is open to all, you will craft a set of jokes to work into a tight-five. You will get expert feedback from your instructor, Dewayne White, and can workshop material with peers in real time.
Dewayne White is a comedian, a veteran, and headliner of the all-veteran show, G.I. Jokes.
This class is part of SPRUNG! Comedy Festival in partnership with the Armed Services Arts Partnership. SPRUNG! which is Silver Spring's very own comedy festival. Over four nights in March 2026, Improbable Comedy will present SPRUNG! 10 unique shows of hilarious comedy at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre, along with comedy classes and events.
