TAKOMA PRIDE SUNDAY, JUNE 1
Celebrate diversity, inclusion, visibility and acceptance at Takoma Pride Parade and Street Fair on Sunday June 1 from 10:00am – 2:00 pm. All are invited to join in this family-friendly event!
Join the Parade!
Dress festively and join the parade! Come early for flags and poster supplies and share your personal messages of Pride. March to Laurel Avenue for the Street Fair for lots of fun. Poster making starts at 9:30am at the parade start – 201 Ethan Allen Avenue.
Just want to watch? Parade runs approximately 10:00 am – 10:30 am
Line up along Carroll Ave between Philadelphia Ave and Laurel Ave. Show your support as the parade marches by with OUT Riders Women’s Motorcycle Club, a float created by the Takoma Park Rainbow Club carrying guest of honor drag queen, Tara Hoot, plus members of the Free State Roller Derby!
At the Street Fair on Laurel Avenue from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm find:
– Vendor Booths with lots of info, books, zine-making, crafts and more!
– Free face painting and chalk for writing expressions of Pride in the street
– Pride art installation for taking photos created by the Takoma Park Rainbow Club
– Ice cream and sweets
