Our legacy summer teen workshops are where students aged 13-17 spend one or two weeks working as a team to produce a short video for a local non-profit or business, or work on personal projects. Participants work in small teams to plan, shoot, and edit short documentary videos filmed in and around downtown Silver Spring, Maryland.

Rising 7th and 8th graders will use NASA footage taken from the International Space Station to create a personal short film about themselves and their connection to the world and space around them. The workshop will guide you through the filmmaking process from script writing, concept development to post-production.

Full scholarships are available! Please look at our Young Artists page for the form to apply and for more information about what we do: https://www.docsinprogress.org/youth
